Job Overview

The Senior Cloud Strategist plays a pivotal role in shaping and implementing cloud strategies to build customer adoption and engagement within key Australian Government accounts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the technical relationship with customers, driving success around specific implementation projects;
  • Develop expertise in AWS technologies and knowledge of how applications are constructed on the AWS platform;
  • Lead technical solution discussions with customer teams; craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures;
  • Build relationships with customers and partners, acting as a trusted technical advisor to influence stakeholders;
  • Align short-term technology decisions with long-term business goals;
  • Accelerate AWS service adoption through daily work activities;
  • Act as a thought leader by educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, writing articles/blogs, and running workshops;
  • Gather customer feedback and collaborate with engineering and service teams to shape product directions and services;
  • Develop and execute strategies to build mind share and broad use of AWS within strategic accounts, particularly in the Australian Government community.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics;
  • 7+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking experience;
  • Ability to lead complex technical projects requiring collaboration across multiple teams;
  • Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders;
  • Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers;
  • Ability to create proofs of concept, demos, and scripts from scratch or using reusable components;
  • Experience working with Federal government;
  • Ability to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications).
