Oncology Nursing Opportunity

This role offers a chance to deepen expertise in oncology while working in a collaborative, research-focused environment.

The permanent part-time position provides flexibility and a healthy work-life balance. As an expert nurse, deliver exceptional care to patients undergoing medical oncology and haematology treatment.

Work alongside a supportive team, gaining exposure to advanced treatments and innovative practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice.
  • Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions.
  • Conduct patient assessments, observations and education, including expert management of treatment-related side effects.
  • Insert and care for peripheral and central access devices.
  • Assist doctors with procedures and provide pre and post-procedure care and education.
  • Maintain and update patients' written and electronic records.
  • Provide emotional support to patients, families and carers.

Requirements
  • Hold current registration with AHPRA.
  • Demonstrate recent experience in Oncology Nursing or surgical nursing.
