Job Role
The Department of Medical Oncology provides specialist services for patients with cancer. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Consultant to fill this role.
About the Position
- Deliver clinical services of the highest standard to Medical Oncology patients.
- Report directly to the Head of Unit in Medical Oncology.
- Collaborate effectively with all members of the clinical team.
- Coordinate follow-up care for patients, ensuring seamless transitions in treatment.
- Participate in programs designed for professional growth and development.
- Contribute to the supervision of postgraduate students, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Maintain comprehensive clinical records documenting patient management decisions.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent qualification.
- Be appropriately registered with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration.
- Have experience supervising and teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff.
- Possess extensive clinical experience relevant to work in Medical Oncology.
- Demonstrate a commitment to quality improvement initiatives.
- Be available to work on Thursdays and Fridays.
