">Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Wastewater Management Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management and operation of Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants within the Caliban Water Region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wastewater treatment, with experience in managing day-to-day operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting. They will also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and optimizing wastewater treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and minimize environmental impacts.
  • Coordinating and implementing capital projects and maintenance activities to maintain plant equipment and infrastructure.
  • Developing and implementing safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes that drive efficiency and productivity.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to colleagues and external partners on wastewater treatment best practices and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Water Industry Treatment (or equivalent) and/or relevant trade qualifications (e.g., mechanical or electrical trade).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in wastewater treatment operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, including clarifier, filter, and disinfection systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external customers.
