Job Overview:

  • As a senior leader, you will lead and manage a team of engineering specialists and technical officers responsible for coordinating and implementing asset management practices and improvement activities.
  • The key objectives of this role include:
  • Developing, implementing, and reviewing asset management plans and improvement activities to achieve best practice asset management in line with ISO55000 standards.
  • Identifying, verifying, and cleansing asset data within Council's asset management and spatial systems to ensure quality data is captured for effective optimisation of asset performance, utilisation, and whole of life costs.
  • Capturing accurate condition assessment and defect data across all Council assets in accordance with appropriate technical specifications.
  • Providing strategic and technical advice on asset renewal modelling software set up and scenario modelling processes to ensure effective development of Council's asset renewal programs.
  • Managing the procurement of external professional services, including condition assessment contracts, technical studies, and preparation of asset management plans.

Requirements:

  • Substantial knowledge and experience in coordination and implementation of asset management practices and improvements.
  • Strategic and technical advice aligning with contemporary asset management principles, practices, and systems.
  • degree in Engineering or related field.
  • current C-class driver's license.
  • Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) or working towards this qualification.
