Lead Asset Management Specialist

This is a senior leadership role that involves managing asset maintenance across multiple centres. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective maintenance strategies, as well as providing high-level advice to stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate programs and develop evidence-based strategies. They will also possess exceptional communication skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate and prepare high-level reports.

In terms of specific responsibilities, the successful candidate will:

  • Develop comprehensive policies and program plans that underpin effective maintenance management;
  • Evaluate existing maintenance programs and propose evidence-based improvements;
  • Create methodologies for allocating maintenance funding to ensure equitable and efficient distribution;
  • Develop business rules and performance indicators to manage relationships with service delivery partners;
  • Lead a team dedicated to long-term planning and pipeline development;
  • Analyse complex data from the Asset Life Cycle Assessment process to inform strategic investment decisions;
  • Produce high-quality reports tailored for internal stakeholders and senior management;
  • Offer strategic advice on asset maintenance policies to support lifecycle planning initiatives;
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between policy objectives and operational delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong understanding of contemporary asset management strategies and concepts;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of asset life cycle assessment and maintenance practices;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate programs and develop evidence-based strategies;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate and prepare high-level reports;
  • Proven experience in leading teams and managing stakeholder relationships.
