Visual Effects Build Team Lead

**Job Overview:**
The Build Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of artists in creating high-quality assets for visual effects. They collaborate closely with other departments to streamline asset creation and ensure alignment with project objectives.
This leadership role involves developing efficient pipeline processes, setting a good example, and guiding the team through complex technical and creative challenges.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience in high-end feature film VFX, proven leadership skills, and extensive knowledge of 3D software.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with other departments to optimize asset creation
- Developing and implementing pipeline processes to improve operational efficiency
- Leading and mentoring the team through technical and creative challenges
- Ensuring assets are ready for the VFX pipeline on time and within budget
Requirements:
- 10+ years of high-end feature film VFX experience
- Proven leadership experience over a team of build artists
- Broad range of build-discipline knowledge
- Extensive experience using 3D software (Maya, Mari, Zbrush, Nuke)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Surfacing and Grooming experience
- Experience managing a department or team
