CG Supervisor Role

The CG Supervisor plays a pivotal role in ensuring the creative vision of directors and VFX supervisors is successfully implemented.

This highly skilled individual oversees a team of artists responsible for producing high-quality CG assets, setting up efficient pipelines, and delivering exceptional results within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of artists to produce complex CG elements, manage shot pipelines, and deliver high-end visual effects.
  • Provide technical and creative leadership, fostering collaboration between artists, production teams, and show leads/supervisors.
  • Contribute to project planning, including bidding and crewing, offering expertise on pipeline improvements and best practices.
Mandatory Skills

To excel in this position, applicants must possess:

  • Extensive experience as a CG Supervisor or Sequence Supervisor, with a proven track record in high-end live-action VFX work.
  • A keen creative eye and excellent aesthetic judgement.
  • The ability to interpret client vision and effectively communicate it to internal teams.
  • Expertise in selling creative solutions and ideas to clients.
  • A talent for simplifying complex problems and finding effective solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the complete VFX pipeline.
  • A strong history of collaboration with R&D teams, with experience in developing and deploying new tool specifications.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, particularly Maya.
