Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise floor staff working in the cold room area to ensure efficient operations and maintain accurate stock levels.
  • Oversee loading and unloading of freight by floor staff to guarantee seamless logistics.
  • Conduct regular checks of cold rooms and dry docks to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace by delegating tasks and ensuring adherence to housekeeping standards.
  • Operate a forklift for efficient loading and unloading of freight while prioritizing safety and quality.
  • Participate in operational tasks as required and report any issues to the Site Manager daily.
  • Ensure quality assurance of all work conducted on the floor by implementing effective quality control measures.

Requirements:

  • A Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test.
  • Previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Current car licence and Forklift licence.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Reliability, honesty, and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.
