Job Description

As a key member of our leadership team, you will provide expert legal advice across a broad spectrum of corporate, commercial, regulatory and operational matters. You will work closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to manage legal risk across the business and support strategic transactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising on a wide range of legal matters including corporate governance, mining, employment, procurement, and compliance.
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions, takeover activities and divestment transactions including conducting due diligence and preparing transaction documentation.
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex legal agreements.
  • Monitoring and assessing compliance with relevant legislation, ASX Listing Rules and regulatory developments.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to promote strong governance and risk management practices.
  • Managing relationships with external legal advisors and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring alignment with company policies, safety standards and codes of conduct.
Required Skills and Qualifications

You are a commercially astute and strategically minded individual with the ability to influence and engage meaningfully at all levels. You are proactive and solutions focused, with a calm and pragmatic approach.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence across all levels of the organisation.
  • Ability to deliver pragmatic, commercially sound legal advice in a dynamic business environment.
  • Significant demonstrated experience, ideally across both private practice and in-house roles.
  • Tertiary qualification in Law and admission to practice in Western Australia.
  • Strong working knowledge of the legal regime applicable to mining and exploration in Western Australia.
  • Proven experience in M&A transactions, commercial negotiations and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience across corporate, commercial, employment, litigation and regulatory matters is desirable.
