The ideal candidate will provide high standards of clinical assessment, treatment, and support to clients of the St. Vincent's integrated adult MHS and their carers, demonstrating excellence in discipline-specific and recovery-focused case management skills.
Joining a dynamic community mental health team operating under a recovery-oriented model of care, utilising the Strengths Model of Case Management.
- Work within the Strengths Model of recovery-oriented practice
- Build therapeutic alliances with consumers and family/carers, actively engaging them in planning, delivery, and evaluation of their care
- Undertake assessments, provision of treatment, and delivery of targeted interventions to consumers with complex mental health-related needs and their family/carers in line with the Mental Health & Wellbeing Act 2022, SVMH policies, and strategic direction
Classifications for this position range from OT/SW Grade 2 Year 1 – Year 4 ($84,614.40 - $97,266) and Psychologist Grad 2 Year 1 – Year 4 ($87,287.20 - $98,285.20).
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy or Social Work
- Clinical Masters in Psychology and current Registration as a Psychologist under the Health Professions Registration Act 2005 (Vic)
- A minimum of at least 2 years post-qualification within your profession, preferably within the mental health field
- Experience in provision of assessment, discipline-specific intervention, and case management services to consumers with serious mental illness and complex needs and their carers within a recovery framework
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Post-graduate qualifications in relevant areas of specialty or in process of achieving the same are desirable
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain/ Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain
