Programming Coordinator, Cabaret Festival

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Programming Coordinator for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival. As a key member of our programming team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing schedules, systems, and operating procedures to ensure the effective delivery of the festival.
As a Programming Coordinator, you will work closely with the Head of Programming - Commercial to develop and maintain databases, artist itineraries, artist rehearsal schedules, and travel and accommodation arrangements. You will also be responsible for coordinating the Class of Cabaret program, a SACE accredited program for high school students with performance outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement schedules, systems, and operating procedures to ensure the effective delivery of the festival
- Work closely with the Head of Programming - Commercial to develop and maintain databases, artist itineraries, artist rehearsal schedules, and travel and accommodation arrangements
- Coordinate the Class of Cabaret program, a SACE accredited program for high school students with performance outcomes
- Provide administrative support to the programming team, including managing emails, phone calls, and other correspondence
- Assist with the coordination of festival events, including rehearsals, performances, and technical rehearsals
- Develop and maintain relationships with artists, companies, and agents to ensure smooth festival operations
- Experience working in a festival or major event environment
- Sound organisational skills and attention to detail to ensure that large amounts of information are managed effectively
- Sound project coordination skills
- Sound experience in travel planning and logistics
- Ability to work within budgets
- Sound administrative skills and a systematic approach towards including computer literacy in Word and Excel, and computer databases
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to prioritise workload and seek clarification and assistance when necessary
- An ability to operate with initiative and at times work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- An interest in working with young people
