About the Role

Adelaide Festival Centre is seeking a highly skilled Artistic Coordinator to join its team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on the delivery of the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, a premier event in the South Australian cultural calendar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing schedules, systems, and operating procedures to ensure the effective delivery of the festival. This will include creating and maintaining databases, artist itineraries, rehearsal schedules, and travel arrangements.

The role is integral to the delivery of the Class of Cabaret program, a SACE accredited program for high school students with performance outcomes. To succeed in this position, you will have demonstrated experience working in a festival or major event environment, sound project coordination skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with artists, companies, and agents.

This full-time role offers a competitive salary of $65,579 per year. The position is available for a period of three years in the first instance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement schedules, systems, and operating procedures to ensure the effective delivery of the festival.
  • Create and maintain databases, artist itineraries, rehearsal schedules, and travel arrangements.
  • Work closely with the Head of Programming – Commercial to deliver the Class of Cabaret program.
  • Liaise with artists, companies, and agents to coordinate festival activities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively with artists, companies, and agents.
