Festival City Adelaide is a peak body for South Australia's festivals and events, seeking an experienced Business Support Officer to join our team. As the face of our organization, you will provide exceptional administrative and support services to facilitate business operations and service delivery.

Job Summary:

  • Provide professional and courteous service to all stakeholders;
  • Act as a first point of contact by responding to enquiries;
  • Educate and redirect issues as required;
  • Transfer relevant information to the Chief Executive in a timely and accurate way;
  • Assist the Chief Executive with communication with members and state government;
  • Proactive day-to-day diary management, including assisting with arranging appointments and meetings to support the Chief Executive.
  • Administer CRM platforms and maintenance of membership records;
  • Draft, edit and format documents, reports, and presentations;
  • Support desktop research and data management;
  • Maintain up-to-date financial reports and project budgets;
  • Prepare, collate, distribute and maintain Board papers and minutes, and take minutes at meetings of the Board;
  • Collect and compile information and prepare documentation and correspondence in line with quality and organisational requirements;
  • Update and maintain records and databases in line with available systems to ensure that all information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible;
  • Prepare event briefs, liaise with event partners in a timely and effective manner, and prepare pre and post event reports, as appropriate;
  • Support delivery of programs by coordinating venues, catering, invitations, and other relevant tasks associated with event programs;
  • Provide support in the execution of outputs related to Festival City Adelaide communications, including but not limited to eComms, social media, and website to ensure that accurate and up-to-date information is available to the public and industry at all times;
  • Other duties as reasonably directed that are consistent with the skills and experience commensurate with the responsibilities of this position.

This role requires the ability to work autonomously, taking initiative to progress their own work, while also being able to work effectively in a small team environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage complex information on competing deadlines, and a strong attention to detail.
