About the Role

The Cabinet Liaison Office is responsible for managing the day-to-day workflow of Cabinet items between the Minister's Offices and the Department. As the Assistant Manager, you will oversee the operations of the office, ensuring all systems, processes, and resources are operating effectively and in accordance with the requirements of the Cabinet Office and the Cabinet Guidelines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of Cabinet Liaison Officers to achieve optimal results
  • Maintaining positive relationships with Ministerial Offices and line areas across the department and portfolio
  • Providing support and guidance to the Department as required
  • Engaging with stakeholders on Cabinet-related matters
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong understanding of Cabinet processes and procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • A proven track record of leadership and team management

Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen.

This position requires an NV1 security clearance. You will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
