Job Opportunity

The Warehouse Storeperson plays a vital role in providing general warehouse and logistics services to support Austal's Supply Chain Process. This key position is accountable for delivering high-quality work on time, in full, and to standard.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to the Production Department by ensuring tools, materials, and equipment are readily available for consumption into projects.
  • Operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and maintaining an operator license.
  • Stowing, picking, packaging, and handling of goods in line with Supply Chain procedures for safe storage and/or transit of goods.

Achieving these responsibilities requires:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in Warehousing and Logistics.
  • Working knowledge of computerized ERP environments.
  • Experience handling Dangerous Goods within a Marine Support, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Defence organization.
  • Certificate III in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
  • Participation in High Performing Team training.
  • Proficiency in Pronto or IFS software.
  • Basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.
