Major Events Coordinator

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Major Events Coordinator to manage and deliver a diverse portfolio of events showcasing the Cairns region's vibrancy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • End-to-end management of sponsorship portfolios under program leadership.
  • Ensure event success, positive economic benefits, and strong returns on investment for Council and the local community.
  • Contribute to shaping the community's future through world-class events.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Events Management, Marketing, or Tourism at Bachelor level.
  • Experience managing funding or partnership agreements and delivering sponsorship benefits.
  • Strong understanding of the events industry, including technical and logistical aspects.
