The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Employment Consultant to join our team in Coffs Harbour. As a key member of our Disability Employment Services team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our participants to secure employment and achieve their career goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Employment Opportunities: Identify and secure employment opportunities for participants with local employers, fostering strong relationships and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
  2. Participant Support: Provide personalized support to participants, helping them to identify their skills and develop a clear employment pathway.
  3. Service Delivery: Deliver high-quality services while adhering to contractual and compliance requirements, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our participants.
  4. Training and Support: Enhance participants' employability through training and support service referrals, empowering them to succeed in the workforce.
  5. Job Planning: Develop personalized job plans for each participant, outlining clear employment pathways and goals.
  6. Community Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with local employers and community groups, promoting APM's services and values.

Requirements

  1. Eligibility: Eligibility to work in Australia.
  2. Driver's License: A current driver's license and a comprehensively insured vehicle.
  3. MyGovID: A MyGovID (Standard level).
  4. Criminal History Check: Willingness to complete a National Police Check.
  5. Working with Children Check: Able to pass a Working with Children Check.
  6. Availability: Available to work Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
