We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Employment Consultant to join our team at Ability Options. As an Employment Consultant, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities to achieve their employment aspirations and inclusion in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain effective relationships with local employers to identify employment opportunities and secure placements.
- Conduct customer appointments and guide individuals through the job placement process, identifying barriers and developing management plans and pathways.
- Maintain progress reviews and identify next steps at each milestone.
- Meet performance indicators by converting sales leads into placements.
- Deliver effective and timely communication and post-placement care to both employers and customers.
- Demonstrated recruitment experience.
- Excellent customer and client interpersonal skills.
- Drive to work in a targets-based, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt style to suit audience.
- Knowledge and application of Disability Employment Services (DES) contract DEED and guidelines desirable but not essential.
- Ability to prioritise workload, use initiative and multi-task.
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and reliable work style.
- High level of computer literacy.
- Satisfactory background checks including Police Check and Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Knowledge of and commitment to child safe standards and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Experience working within the disability service sector highly regarded.
- Current driver's licence (minimum P2).
