We are seeking a committed and dedicated Residential Youth Worker to provide support to young people in a residential care setting.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced youth worker to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of young people. As a Residential Youth Worker, you will be responsible for providing 24/7 care and support to residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to residents, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans for each resident.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective service delivery model.
Requirements
  • High level of commitment to the values of Anglicare North Queensland Limited.
  • Prior experience working with young people with complex and extreme care needs, preferably in a residential context.
  • Ability to engage with young people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety procedures including food hygiene and manual handling.
  • Strong understanding and practice of professional boundaries.
Qualifications and Certifications
  • Current QLD drivers license or interstate equivalent.
  • Blue Card (Working with children card).
  • A current national PoliceCheck.
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certifications.
  • Minimum of Certificate IV Qualifications in Youth Work, Social Work, Human Services or similar.
  • Current LCS2 check, (Child Safety and Personal History Screening Check).
  • Hope & Healing certificate.
