About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Insights Manager to join our team at Qantas Loyalty. As a key member of our data and analytics capability, you will be responsible for developing high-impact customer insights related to customer behaviours across and within our various loyalty partners and businesses.

Using complex data analytics and modelling, you will identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and profitability via improvements to the Qantas frequent flyer program. You will work closely with senior Qantas Loyalty management and the Senior Manager of Strategic Insights to form recommendations on key strategic issues relating to the Qantas Hotels & Holidays businesses and other group-wide initiatives that impact Qantas Frequent Flyer members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop high-impact customer insights related to customer behaviours across and within our various loyalty partners and businesses.
  • Identify opportunities to increase customer engagement and profitability via improvements to the Qantas frequent flyer program.
  • Work closely with senior Qantas Loyalty management and the Senior Manager of Strategic Insights to form recommendations on key strategic issues.
  • Use complex data analytics and modelling to drive business decisions.
Requirements
  • Degree-level qualifications in applied statistics or a related analytical field.
  • Commitment, professionalism, respect, and a 'can-do' attitude in any situation.
  • Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to overlay commercial acumen.
  • Extensive experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL, with direct experience with the Teradata platform preferred.
  • High level of computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Prior experience in using Tableau desired.
  • Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  • Strong capability of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks for different stakeholders.
