Production Team Lead Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to lead our machine operator team in a world-class manufacturing facility.
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a small team to achieve production goals while operating machinery safely and efficiently. You will work closely with the production team to maintain a safe work environment, meet production targets, and ensure quality control and GMP guidelines are met.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG, and proven leadership or team leader experience within production. They will also have strong technical and mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a quick learning attitude.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading and supervising your line team to meet production targets while maintaining a safe work environment
- Operating state-of-the-art chocolate moulding lines, including enrobing, depositing, mixing fillings and tempering chocolate
- Taking responsibility for end-to-end machine operations, ensuring quality control and GMP guidelines are met
- Organizing packing staff at end-of-line packing stations
- FOLLOWING set recipes and methods to create chocolates to specification
- Mixing and blending ingredients to prepare fillings for depositing
- FOLLOWING and executing production schedules
- Performing consistent heavy lifting of up to 25kg throughout shifts
- Completing machine clean down and line changeovers efficiently
- Maintaining accurate paperwork and traceability records
- Monitoring stock levels and placing orders when required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally food or FMCG
- Proven leadership or team leader experience within production
- Strong technical and mechanical aptitude
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a quick learning attitude
- Ability to perform frequent heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to keep your work area clean, organized and compliant with food safety standards (we maintain the highest level BRC accreditation)
- A can-do attitude with punctuality and reliability
