We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team at Consolidated Power Projects Australia. As a key member of our in-house team, you will be responsible for designing and developing secondary high-voltage systems for our extra high-voltage substations and overhead lines.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in electrical engineering, power systems, and leadership. You will work closely with our team of experienced engineers and designers to deliver top-tier designs and solutions for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop secondary high-voltage systems for extra high-voltage substations and overhead lines
- Collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality designs and solutions
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and designers
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to project planning and execution
- Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience in senior-level roles with substation design and/or utility grid connections
- Strong knowledge of Australian industry standards and regulations
- Leadership qualities and ability to mentor others
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with MiCom, Digsilent, Power Factory, PSSE is highly regarded
