About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to lead our Power Systems team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of junior team members, providing technical support, and maintaining relationships with existing clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field. They will also have a proven track record of working on complex power system studies, including connection applications, generator performance standards compliance assessments, and model validation.

We are looking for a candidate who is able to work independently, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues. Experience with modeling software, including PSSE, PSCAD, and Powerfactory, is highly desirable.

In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of junior team members

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering
  • Tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering
  • Practical experience of 7+ years in power system studies
  • Strong background in power system modeling software, including PSSE, PSCAD, and Powerfactory
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
