Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Sofitel. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of food service operations across all kitchen outlets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Service Operations: Manage the preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques of our menu items to meet Brand Standard guidelines.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that our guests receive exceptional service, meeting and exceeding their expectations.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety.
  • Menu Development: Assist in the development of new menus and concepts, working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs.
  • Operational Procedures: Assist in the development and maintenance of operating procedures and systems.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all team members are aware of their Health and Safety responsibilities and maintain a high standard of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Qualification in Commercial Cookery.
  • Experience: 1-2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Qualities: A genuine passion for gastronomy, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and develop.
