About the Role

We are seeking a People Advisor to join our team on a large Civil/Rail project based in Melbourne, VIC. This full-time role offers exciting career opportunities in joining a people-centric, privately owned tier 1 constructor and an international engineering enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and accurate HR/IR advice and guidance
  • Facilitate and support with performance development, performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Support the People Lead in development and implementation of proactive employee engagement and retention strategies
  • Actively contribute to the achievement of the people business plan and more
  • Support all HR activities across the project including all employment lifecycle, supporting resource planning, workforce development, employee development and engagement
  • Provide support to initiatives that align with the delivery of the projects Workforce Development and Industry Participation Strategy and Plan

About You

  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in a generalist Human Resources Advisory role
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders and influence decision making to achieve necessary outcomes
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic and respectful manner
  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • Experience within the construction industry is ideal but not essential
