About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Technical Resources. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Prepare detailed design deliverables, including datasheets, specifications, scope of supply, technical bid evaluations, drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports.
  • Vendor Management: Review mechanical vendor data and drawings, and ensure that all vendors meet our technical and quality standards.
  • Project Coordination: Ensure that the project scope is clear and identify changes to scope as required in line with project change management processes.
  • Technical Support: Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses, and recommended actions, and participate in relevant meetings, following required checking procedures.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively within the discipline team, with clients, and other project stakeholders, and make presentations as required.
  • Technical Evaluation: Technically evaluate vendor equipment supply proposals, and identify issues and problems; develop appropriate and innovative solutions and ask for assistance if required.
  • Professional Development: Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in the discipline, and provide engineering support to brownfield projects' construction/commissioning phases.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment: Actively participate in the personal HS&E performance commitment, and ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Mechanical Engineering degree from a recognized university, with relevant experience.
  • Registration: Registered as a Mechanical Engineer with Engineers Australia.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups and make presentations when required.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with pressure equipment design standards; ASME and Australian standards, including Australian requirements for verification and registration is preferred. Experience working with API standards for mechanical equipment is also preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience with brownfield projects is preferred, and technical and practical experience in the Mechanical & Piping disciplines is required.
