The Reject Shop, an Australian Discount Variety retailer, is seeking a talented individual to join its People and Culture team as a Retail Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Based in Australia, this role offers a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

In this high-volume, fast-paced environment, you will play a pivotal role in attracting, sourcing, and hiring top talent for The Reject Shop's Store Operations Network. You will partner with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs, screen CVs, and ensure a positive candidate experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including online channels, social platforms, and professional networks, to find the best candidate for the role.
  • Screening and Interviewing: Conduct initial screening, coordinate interviews, reference checks, and candidate conversations at pace.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience that reflects The Reject Shop's values by building relationships with external talent and developing future talent pools.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of hiring strategies and processes.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated recruitment experience from a retail agency environment or internal recruitment role.
  • Experience using online advertising platforms.
  • Experience using ATS platforms – preferably PageUp.
  • A strong knowledge of recruitment within the retail sector.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure, multitask, and manage multiple expectations from Hiring Managers.
  • Track record of achieving KPIs.
  • A passion and drive for delivering exceptional candidate care and quality recruitment experiences.
