Heavy Diesel Fitter Role

This position involves leading a skilled mobile maintenance team and performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, be able to manage performance, planning, and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment, and ensure work health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a skilled mobile maintenance team and direct them to meet goals and challenges.
  • Perform servicing, repair, and maintenance of equipment according to relevant documentation.
  • SOURCE technical information from relevant manuals and computer-based systems.
  • Provide technical support to staff and operations personnel.
  • Requisition parts and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years mining experience with exposure to leading or supervision of mobile maintenance HD Fitters.
  • Positive leadership style, exceptional time-management skills, and ability to pivot around priorities.
  • Manage performance, planning, and preventative maintenance of heavy mobile mining equipment.
  • Ensure work health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is completed to a high standard by tradespeople.
