About the RoleAs a Habit Coach at Everyday Independence, you will support NDIS participants in Outer Eastern Melbourne and surrounding areas. You will work at participants' homes or community locations, supporting individuals across all ages and stages of life.
Under the guidance of the primary therapist, you will play a vital part in enabling participants to develop greater independence and work towards reaching their full potential. Your responsibilities will include implementing therapy plans, supporting participants in achieving their goals, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Support NDIS participants in Outer Eastern Melbourne and surrounding areas
- Work at participants' homes or community locations
- Support participants across all ages and stages of life
- Implement therapy plans and support participants in achieving their goals
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
- Be studying a university degree in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year)
- Have completed a Certificate 3 or 4 in Allied Health Assistance or an equivalent qualification, with demonstrated experience in a similar position
- Have consistent and ongoing availability to work
- Be available minimum two (2) days a week to support participants during their afternoon routines
- Be open to travel to regional/surrounding areas
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence and empathy
- Maintain clear focus on the goals and outcomes of our participants
- Act professionally and always follow company protocol
- Be self-motivated, reliable and can work autonomously
- Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
- Demonstrated passion for working within the disability sector and making a difference in people's lives
- A valid Australian drivers license and access to your own vehicle
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working with Childrens Check
