ICT Performance Engineer

Finding the Right Candidate:

We are seeking a highly skilled ICT performance engineer to support the design, implementation, and operation of observability systems within a defence environment.

  • We need someone with hands-on experience with Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Operations Bridge Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining observability systems using Elastic Stack and OBM. They will also develop procedures and tools to enhance the management and support of monitoring environments.

  • Develop procedures and tools to enhance monitoring environments.
  • Set up and configure Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Operations Bridge Manager (OBM).
  • Collect, analyze, and visualize metrics, logs, traces, and events from various systems.
  • Design and maintain dashboards, alerts, and reports for IT operations, development, and security teams.
  • Monitor system performance proactively and identify bottlenecks.
  • Provide technical support, issue resolution, and collaborate with other teams.
  • Implement and manage security configurations including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
  • Maintain detailed documentation on configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay current with trends, features, and best practices in monitoring and observability technologies.
