Job Title: Nuclear Systems Test Engineer

This position requires an experienced engineer to conduct testing operations in a nuclear facility. The test engineer will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing testing procedures, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to optimize nuclear system performance.
  • Develop and implement troubleshooting plans to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Document and report testing results and recommendations for process improvements.
  • Maintain and improve the efficiency of testing equipment and instrumentation.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs and materials for new engineers and technicians.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; 7 years with Master's degree; 4 years with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years experience.
  • 8+ years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, or commissioning within a nuclear facility or highly regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear power systems, test engineering principles, and safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical data.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
  • Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
  • Master's degree in relevant fields.
  • Relevant nuclear industry certifications.
