Nuclear Program Manager

Job Overview

This position is responsible for overseeing and managing nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and optimizing engineering processes.

  • The Nuclear Program Manager will lead the planning, development, and execution of nuclear programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Ensure adherence to nuclear safety and environmental regulations, liaising with regulatory agencies.
  • Provide expert guidance on nuclear engineering principles, safety procedures, and operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and research institutions.
  • Identify and address potential risks in nuclear operations to enhance safety and performance.
  • Manage program budgets and optimize resources to ensure cost-effective project execution.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nuclear engineering, project management, or a related field, with proven leadership experience in nuclear programs.

  • 8 years relevant progressive experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with a Master's degree in a related field; or 12 years relevant progressive experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience in nuclear engineering, project management, or a related field, with demonstrated expertise in reactor operations, nuclear fuel systems, or radiation safety.
  • Knowledge of nuclear reactor systems, radiation protection principles, and thermodynamics.
  • Proficiency in engineering software and simulation tools such as MATLAB, ANSYS, or nuclear-specific modeling software.
