The Opportunity

This role offers a pivotal position in driving Australia's sustainable energy future, guiding projects from concept to ready-to-build stage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the end-to-end development of large scale battery storage and hybrid PV + storage projects.
  • Serve as the key contact for clients, coordinating project meetings and delivering clear progress reports.
  • Engage with a range of external stakeholders, including engineering consultants, network service providers, system operators, government representatives, local councils, and landowners.
  • Manage project finances, provide financial reporting, and ensure milestone achievements are certified and value is maximised.
  • Support merger and acquisition (M&A) processes alongside technical and commercial teams.
  • Mentor and lead a team of Project Developers, encouraging collaboration and professional growth.
  • Oversee contract management, including work with legal teams and negotiations with key service partners.
  • Identify and manage project risks, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation strategies.
  • Represent at major industry conferences to remain updated on industry trends and opportunities.

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Engineering, Business, or Law.
  • Previous experience in similar project development roles, ideally within utility scale energy projects.
  • A strong understanding of site selection, environmental assessment, permitting, and planning approvals.
  • Demonstrated experience in grid connection and negotiating project contracts.
  • Technical and commercial insight into renewable and energy storage developments.
  • Proven ability to manage and mentor teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, comfortable working with consultants, service providers, councils, and government agencies.
  • Professionalism, high standards of accountability, and integrity.
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a commitment to continuous learning.
