Signalling Technician

As a Signalling Technician – Network Maintenance Specialist, you will be an integral part of V/Line's success in maintaining and developing its rail network. This role requires a skilled professional with hands-on experience in maintaining signalling equipment and systems.
Main Responsibilities- Maintain and install signalling and communications equipment across the Winchelsea to Warrnambool network.
- Complete routine maintenance tasks as per the technical maintenance plan (TMP) and servicing schedules.
- Attend fault rectification tasks, investigate and report on incidents related to signalling equipment and systems.
- Work in accordance with standardised signalling practices, procedures, and regulations.
- Enter task completion reports into the maintenance management system.
- Participate in call outs, work away from home, travel, and assist other regions as required, including overtime on an as-needed basis.
The ideal candidate for this role is a skilled and autonomous professional with experience in maintaining and installing signalling equipment, performing routine and reactive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulations.
To succeed in this position, you will possess:
- Demonstrated alignment with V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
- Cert IV in Rail and Tram Signalling Systems – Essential.
- Cert III in Electrotechnology – Essential.
- Current Driver's Licence – Essential.
- Strong communication, safety-focused, and positive team player skills.
- Strong fault finding, problem-solving, and diagnostics skills.
