Job Overview

About the Role

This position is key in advancing and enabling a unified culture of safety, wellbeing, and operational excellence to ensure World Vision is providing quality staff care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prevention, early intervention, and business-wide implementation of plans to improve WHS outcomes.
  • Proactive management of all aspects relating to incidents, injury management, and workers' compensation.
  • Review and design employees' experiences that provide contemporary care and support environment, in partnership with relevant health and wellbeing providers to promote a responsive culture requiring all our people to take reasonable care of self and others to support good health and wellbeing as well as the physical environment.
  • Safety, assurance, and compliance and support for work-related travel for World Vision Australia (WVA).
  • Manage internal relationships to influence effective Safety and Security outcomes and culture.
  • Drive a high-performance culture with team member(s) through coaching and development.
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of Australian health and safety legislation and experience managing projects and change in systems and organisational culture.
  • Extensive experience in conducting investigations into work, health, and safety matters and strong technical knowledge of safety and security management principles and practices.
  • Proven experience in developing effective Workplace Health, Safety & Wellbeing policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all key stakeholders.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in work, health, and safety (or a related discipline) and equivalent industry experience (i.e., diploma of work health and safety) and industry experience.
  • Effective training, coaching, and capability building.

A competitive salary package including a base salary of AU$120,000 per annum, superannuation, and other benefits.
