Head of Insights and Analytics

This role represents a significant career defining opportunity for an ambitious professional who wants to take on a strategic leadership position within a Global FMCG Food Brand.

  • About the Role:

  • A key aspect of this job is to lead a team of analysts and insights managers in delivering high-quality insights and analytics solutions across various categories, shopper, and consumer segments. The successful candidate will develop and implement an insights and analytics strategy that aligns with the business unit's objectives and goals.

  • The ideal candidate should have strong experience in FMCG Category, Consumer, or Shopper analysis and exceptional leadership skills. They must be able to combine strong strategic thinking and analytical ability, thrive on using new knowledge and data to create meaningful and useful intelligence.

  • The role requires intimate understanding of retail partners and their KPIs, as well as the ability to influence cross-functional teams to build, agree, and execute shopper insights. Problem-solving ability and commercial acumen are essential, along with working knowledge of Nielsen, AZTEC scan data, Homescan, or Quantium.

  • Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Analyst and Insights Manager to deliver high-quality insights and analytics solutions across Categories, Shopper, and Consumer.

  • Develop and implement an insights and analytics strategy aligned with the business units goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key business questions and develop analytics/market research approaches to solve problems and achieve commercial objectives.

  • Oversee the design and execution of market research projects or data collection processes, ensuring data integrity and reliability.

  • Stay proactive by being across industry trends and emerging technologies in analytics, data science, and market research and recommend innovative approaches to drive continuous improvement.

Skills and Experience:

A proven track record in a similar role within the FMCG space (must be passionate about food and flavours). Strong experience in FMCG Category, Consumer or Shopper. Exceptional leadership capability. Ability to combine strong strategic thinking and analytical ability. Intimate understanding of retail partners and their KPIs. Ability to influence cross-functional teams to build, agree and execute shopper insights. Problem solving ability & commercial nous. Working knowledge of Neilson, AZTEC scan data, Homescan or Quantium.
