Job Title: Strategic Business Partner

This position is ideal for an experienced professional seeking a challenging opportunity to contribute to organisational outcomes in a supportive environment.

The Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Business Partner who can provide guidance on complex HR and people management matters to executives, senior managers, and people leaders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Partner with senior managers and people leaders to strengthen capability and performance through coaching and advice.
  • Manage complex casework, including investigations into employee misconduct, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
  • Drive workforce planning initiatives to enhance organisational performance and efficiency, aligning with business objectives.
  • Lead organisational change processes, ensuring compliance with relevant industrial instruments and regulations.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience working within the Victorian government sector.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven knowledge and application of a Business Partnering model and framework.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • A current Working with Children Check and Police Check.
Requirements:
  • Mid-senior level experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success.
Work Environment:

This is a temporary contract role, with a duration of 3-6 months. The location is South-east Melbourne.
