About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Officer to join our team in Townsville. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for coordinating HR activities across our footprint and supporting our General Manager, Team Leaders, and employees.

Main Responsibilities
  • Recruitment: Place job adverts, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and guide new starters through the onboarding process.
  • HR Administration: Prepare employment contracts, coordinate performance reviews, and ensure compliance with human resource requirements.
  • Employee Support: Provide support to leaders in performance management matters, manage grievances, and ensure employee learning and competencies are managed effectively.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in human resources, a sound understanding of the Fair Work Act, and excellent interpersonal skills. You will also be highly organized, efficient, and able to work as part of a team.

Requirements
  • Experience in human resources
  • Sound understanding of the Fair Work Act and other relevant legislation
  • Experience in community mental health (NDIS or aged care) is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suites and databases
