About the Opportunity

This is an excellent role for recent HR graduates or those soon-to-be qualified looking to launch their career. As HR Advisor, you'll work with a supportive team in local government and contribute meaningfully to HR operations.

  • Assist with the development and review of HR policies and procedures.
  • Monitor the HR inbox and manage inquiries or escalate as necessary.
  • Provide basic HR advice to staff and leadership.
  • E nsure HR documentation complies with legal, confidentiality, and compliance standards.
  • Support workforce planning efforts alongside the HR team.
About You

We're seeking candidates with:

  • Tertiary qualification (or soon-to-be qualified) in Human Resource Management.
  • Current QLD Class C Driver's License.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Demonstrated experience (including internships or projects) in policy development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with the ability to influence and negotiate effective outcomes.
