About the Castle Hill Water Resource Recovery Facility Compliance Project

Abergeldie is partnering with Sydney Water to deliver this project, which is part of a larger initiative to connect three treatment plants in Sydney's North-West, forming the new North West Treatment Hub. This upgrade will create a more efficient, integrated wastewater system to support growth in the area and help keep local waterways clean.

About the Role

As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will provide technical support on the mechanical aspects of the project, working closely with the project team to deliver delegated projects. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical oversight and support for daily project engineering tasks.
  • Undertaking design and constructability reviews.
  • Developing and reviewing cut-in and shutdown procedures.
  • Developing and reviewing work procedures.
  • Creating and executing commissioning and detailed inspection plans.
  • Working in partnership with the project team to provide oversight and technical support.
  • Plan and coordinate construction schedules.
  • Cost forecasting and preparation of reports.
  • Select and manage subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Implement quality assurance processes and maintain control standards.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in both Mechanical and Civil Engineering (highly regarded).
  • Experience with Water and Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP/WTP) projects.
  • Extensive experience as a Project Engineer within the construction sector.
  • Proven ability to develop innovative solutions for complex technical challenges.
  • Proficient in MS Project.
  • Dedication to fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Commitment to a zero-harm safety environment.
