
Senior Forensic Mental Health Specialist

The Victorian Fixated Threat Assessment Centre seeks an experienced professional to oversee the delivery of forensic mental health services. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and guidelines for the forensic mental health component.
Key responsibilities include providing high-level advice to referrers, managing stakeholder relationships, contributing to training development, and ensuring accurate reporting of key performance indicators.
Essential Requirements:
- A minimum of ten years' experience in providing clinical services in forensic mental health.
- Proven ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team and manage a complex program effectively.
- Experience in threat assessment and risk-oriented services, with the ability to independently deliver associated clinical supervision.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with law enforcement and mental health agencies.
- Expertise in clinical/forensic program development and evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Possession of a Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited course OR a Doctorate degree in Forensic Psychology from an accredited course.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and registration with AHPRA or membership eligibility to the AASW.
- Possession of a relevant tertiary qualification including a minimum of Post Graduate Diploma Mental Health Nursing and registration with AHPRA.
