Work Setting

This position is based at Ravenhall Correctional Centre in Melbourne's west, providing specialist forensic mental health services across community, hospital and prison settings.

About the Role
  • Provide full-range psychological services and advice on patient management and treatment.
  • Conduct specialist psychological assessments and reports.
  • Deliver individual and/or group interventions as appropriate.
  • Contribute to patient risk assessment and risk management with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Make discipline-specific contributions to clinical practice and program development.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a mental health facility or forensic mental health service is advantageous.
  • Knowledge in clinical forensic psychology, including forensic assessments and intervention with offenders and/or forensic patients.
  • Understanding of current psychological approaches for working with clients in the forensic mental health setting.
  • Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from an Australian Accredited course or equivalent.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Agency.
