Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Coordinator to support the Forensic Clinical Specialist Program (FCSP) at a leading Victorian Institute of Forensic Mental Health.

The Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the work of forensic clinical specialists across services, and in contributing to the development of the program. The position works closely with key stakeholders such as mental health professionals, clients, and carers.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated ability to undertake comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments and to plan, implement and evaluate clinical interventions. They will also have experience working at a senior level in forensic mental health and detailed knowledge of forensic mental health risk assessment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking comprehensive psychosocial and risk assessments
  • Planning, implementing and evaluating clinical interventions

The ideal candidate will be highly developed and effective in written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to consult, liaise, facilitate and negotiate with key stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Registration or membership with the appropriate Board or Association as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist
  • Demonstrated minimum 5 year post registration mental health experience
