Project Officer Strategic Programs and Acquisitions

The Role

This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring proposed Crown land sales align with the Crown Land Management Act 2016 requirements.

Your contribution will directly impact the responsible divestment of land from the Crown Estate, facilitating sustainable development, community benefit, and effective land stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive and deliver land sale and divestment projects within defined timeframes
  • Develop comprehensive assessments for delegated decision-makers under the Act
  • Catalyse acquisition, sale, and vesting initiatives across diverse portfolios
  • Provide expert advice on complex land status, statutory divestment, and land sales
  • Manage internal and external service providers across planning, valuation, legal, and marketing functions
  • Nurture strong relationships with stakeholders including government agencies, local councils, industry, and community groups
  • Maintain accurate databases, oversee project finances, and finalise Crown land accounts
  • Represent the department in forums, committees, and cross-functional teams
