Bindaree Food Group is seeking an experienced and strategicLivestock Program Managerto lead and drive the success of our group livestock program. Based at our Inverell Livestock Office, this role is a unique blend of leadership, operational oversight, and stakeholder engagement.
You'll be responsible for managing a dedicated livestock team and working closely with senior leadership and operational teams across the business. This is a hands-on leadership role with a strong focus on continuous improvement, producer engagement, and ensuring our livestock services align with broader business goals.
This position reports to the Group General Manager – Livestock and may involve occasional travel and after-hours commitments.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of livestock coordinators and livestock personnel.
- Oversee daily livestock operations and align program delivery with strategic business objectives.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure the livestock program supports wider corporate goals.
- Manage producer and customer relationships, responding professionally to enquiries and ensuring exceptional service.
- Identify and implement operational improvements and innovative solutions.
- Drive compliance with internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with IT to ensure system data integrity and support development of new tools and workflows.
- Represent the livestock program in internal and external projects.
- Contribute to the ongoing success of the broader supply chain function.

To be successful, you'll need:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in livestock, agriculture, or feedlot operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrated ability to manage both day-to-day operations and contribute to strategic direction.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- A customer-first mindset and professionalism in managing complex enquiries.
- Experience with operational improvements and project coordination.
- Solid understanding of livestock management systems and reporting tools.
- Knowledge of compliance and governance within the ag sector.
- A proactive, adaptable attitude and a drive to continually improve outcomes.
