Night Shift Logistics Manager

A logistics leader is required to oversee daily transport operations, ensuring a safe working environment and maintaining compliance with company, client, and regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate will possess experience within a fast-paced logistics environment, supervising and supporting the day-to-day Night Shift operations, adhering to work allocation, driver schedules, and service metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising and supporting the night shift team to meet operational goals and objectives
- Ensuring safety and compliance requirements are met and aligned with the operational plan
- Monitoring and assessing transport key performance indicators (KPIs), achieving service levels
- Managing subcontractors, complying with cartage contracts and operational requirements
- Conducting daily and weekly reconciliation of assets, including inventory, pallets, and transport equipment
- Optimizing payloads for satisfactory commercial returns, implementing strategies for route and schedule success
- Coordinating daily resource planning activities to align with forecast and budget plans
- Collaborating with subcontractors to meet seasonal requirements effectively
Requirements:
- Prior experience in a leadership position within the Transport/Logistics sector
- Proven ability to lead and nurture a high-performing team
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and methodical with diverse system proficiencies
