Job Role

The Night Manager is a key team member responsible for ensuring the safety and security of residents as well as the effective management and escalation of incidents.


This role involves working night shifts from 11pm – 7am on a rotating roster. The successful candidate will be expected to conduct nightly audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions, including room charges, cash handling, and credit card transactions.


They will also be responsible for managing the night shift operations, including guest check-ins and check-outs, responding to guest inquiries and requests, and ensuring smooth operations during the night.


Additionally, they will verify the accuracy of guest accounts, resolve any discrepancies, and prepare detailed reports for management. They will also ensure the security and safety of the premises during the night, monitoring CCTV systems, and promptly addressing any security concerns or emergencies.


Other responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks such as updating reservations, processing payments, and maintaining accurate records. They will also collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination between shifts.


Finally, they will provide exceptional customer service to guests, addressing their needs, and resolving any issues or complaints in a professional and timely manner.


As a Night Manager, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a customer service/operations role. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities without compromising accuracy and customer service.


You will also have computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management systems. Leadership and supervisory experience and skills are highly desirable. Exceptional customer service skills, including conflict resolution, are essential.
