About the Role

SummitCare seeks a Leisure & Lifestyle Officer to work full-time at our residential aged care facility in Wallsend.

This role involves planning and delivering meaningful leisure and lifestyle programs that enhance resident wellbeing. You will collaborate with a team to ensure these programs promote optimal health, healthy ageing, and resident choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement leisure and lifestyle programs that cater to individual resident needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify social, spiritual, and emotional needs of residents.
  • Design and deliver tailored programs to meet these needs.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or related discipline (near completion acceptable).
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Experience in a similar role in the aged/health sector (advantageous).
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Well-developed computer skills.

Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience). We offer a competitive salary, comprehensive training, and opportunities for professional growth.
