Job Profile

The Australian Federal Police is seeking a specialist to contribute to collaborative high-level operational and strategic assessments and reports in support of Command objectives.

This role will provide high-level written and verbal protective security advice and briefings to stakeholders, applying research methods into contemporary protective security issues and trends.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-level written and verbal protective security advice and briefings.
  • Apply high-level research methods to inform and influence protective security strategies.
  • Build relationships internally and externally, offering assistance for mutually beneficial outcomes and anticipating client needs.
Essential Requirements
  • Australian citizenship.
  • Negative Vetting 1 (Secret) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience in protective security methodology, including threat and risk concepts.
  • Ability to assess security risk information in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong awareness of the political landscape and its influence on security risk.
